FEES

Mountain View Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice. Aged pensioners, Health Care Card holders, DVA card holders and children under 17 years of age are bulkbilled. This service is available for patients who can provide proof of a current concession card. All other patients are expected to pay for their doctors visit at the time of attendance.  We accept cash, cheques, Visa and Mastercards (debit or credit) payments.

  • Additional fees and charges may apply for special services (such as skin excisions) and not all services attract a Medicare rebate (such as Medicals for commercial driver's licence).
  • Please ask our receptionists for a detailed list of fees. Fees are payable at the time of booking. The practice offers Medicare online claiming and Medicare Easyclaim for your convenience.

Out of pocket costs

For fee-paying patients, our fees are set well below recommended AMA rates to ensure they remain more affordable.

We have decided to keep the Gap Fee for longer consultations similar to a Standard consultation to encourage patients to book longer appointments where extra time is required (such as complex conditions, multiple problems, depression and stress etc). This will assist us avoid running late and ensure shorter waiting times
